HELENA — First dose COVID-19 vaccinations for individuals in Phase 1b, Tier 1 will continue next week in Helena with two drive-thru clinics.

Phase 1b, Tier 1 individuals include all Lewis and Clark County residents aged 70 and over, and eligible healthcare workers in Phase 1a. Pre-registration will be required for all community members in these phases and tiers.

Two drive-thru clinics will be held next week at the Lewis and Clark County fairgrounds on Tuesday, Jan. 26 and Wednesday, Jan. 27 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. daily.

Based on available vaccine supplies, a maximum of 450 vaccinations will be administered on each day. To better serve the community and efficiently distribute vaccination, individuals must secure a FREE, timed ticket to either event and provide a photo ID for proof of age showing an address in Lewis and Clark County.

If the photo ID provided does not have an address, such as a US Passport, individuals can present a utility bill, phone bill, or another document with a Lewis and Clark County address. Individuals can reserve tickets for specific, available time slots.

The registration site for the clinics is hosted on Eventbrite.
Links to either day events can be found on ourCOVID-19 Hub here, or on Lewis and Clark Public Health’s website at https://www.lccountymt.gov/health.html and look for the ‘COVID-19 Hub’ link on the main page.

Registration for both clinics will begin at 9 a.m. on Friday, January 22, and end when tickets are exhausted.

Rocky Mountain Development Council Area IV Agency on Aging has volunteered to provide seniors who have access barriers to the online ticketing system with a call center at 406-447-1680. This phone number is NOT intended for the general public, but for those 70+ who have access barriers to using the Eventbrite website. The call center will operate beginning Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Again, this phone line is NOT for the general public, but is for seniors with accessibility issues.

Phase 1b includes a very large number of eligible individuals, and because current weekly local vaccine allocation is limited, the county will continue to roll out Phase 1b vaccination eligibility by tiered priority within the population. More details on those clinics and any changes to priority populations will be released later.

Testing update: PureView’s drive-thru COVID-19 testing will be held from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday through Friday at the fairgrounds.

Other clinics are being planned for all priority populations in Phase 1b, so community members are urged to be patient as the local team rolls out vaccination to the county.

Additionally, the Local Vaccination Team will provide second dose vaccinations to individuals in Phase 1a that received their first doses on Dec. 29 and 30, 2020.

The team will hold two second dose drive-thru clinics on Jan. 28 and 29 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Lewis and Clark County Fairgrounds.

No appointment is needed for these clinics - Individuals can drop in at any time from 1 – 6 p.m. either day. This is only for those who received their first dose at Dec. 29 or 30 drive-thru vaccination events.

Phase 1a individuals must bring their vaccination record card with them. This card was given to all those who received their first dose of the vaccine and contains important information. No other paperwork is required for the second dose.
