HELENA — Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Montana Properties is hosting a coat drive to collect new socks and gloves from November 30th-December 11th, 2020. Those wishing to drop off these items can do between 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. on weekdays at their Downtown office location; 50 S. Park Avenue in Helena.
Berkshire says this clothing drive will benefit the local community such as God’s Love with clothing in demand during this winter.
In October - November 2020, One Warm Coat and Berkshire Hathaway in Helena hosted another drive. They said they’ve received so much support from the community, it inspired them to do another one during the month of December.
“Last month when we hosted our Coat Drive, the community response was greater than we expected, 194 coats were donated in two weeks! It came to our attention that our local community is also in needs of socks and gloves. The unprecedented crisis created by the Covid-19 Pandemic is impacting the lives of thousands of Montanans. Helena families who were already struggling are now at severe risk, and many will be unable to pay their utility bills. The need for warmth this winter will be greater than ever before," says Ann Snortland, Coat Drive Ambassador for Berkshire Hathaway.
In 2019, more than 500,000 coats were distributed across North America to children and adults in need through One Warm Coat’s Coat Drive program.
