Butte police identified the Butte man killed in an early Saturday motorcycle crash as 30-year-old Shaun Doherty.
Doherty died after losing control of his motorcycle about 1:40 a.m. in the 1600 block of Grand Avenue.
Around 1:40 a.m. Saturday, Butte dispatch received a report of a motorcycle accident in the 1600 block of Grand Avenue. Doherty reportedly was traveling westbound, and according to witnesses, the motorcycle tipped, began sliding on its side, then struck a vehicle that was parked on the north side of Grand Avenue.
