Stevensville School District leaders are taking a cautious approach to re-opening school, putting precautions in place, but without masks being required for students.
Stevensville, along with the other Bitterroot school districts, has continued to coordinate their pandemic response as much as possible.
While students and staff will be following the usual guidelines, Stevensville schools will differ in one key point, with trustees opting to recommend, but not require, the wearing of masks.
"The big point of emphasis we were making is this is not, we're trying to keep the politics out of educating our children," said Stevensville School Superintendent Bob Moore.
"And making sure that we're trying to make the best decisions we can, allowing parents the opportunity to make decisions for what they feel is best for their child."
The district will offer district learning where requested and take measures to limit class sizes and student movements across campus.
Meanwhile, Lone Rock School trustees have opted to require masks on buses, and in buildings where distance can't be maintained.
The school will also hire additional teachers to reduce class sizes.
