HELENA — The COVID-19 pandemic has prevented St. Peter’s Health and PacificSouce Health Plans from holding their traditional Family Fun Fest this year with a fun run and activities fair.
However, organizers have come up with a social distancing friendly way of keeping the spirit of the event alive.
This year, families can print off a bingo card of activities for the whole family to do.
St. Peter’s Public Relations Coordinator Jacque Tescher said because of COVID they were more dedicated than ever to finding a way to provide some fun and healthy activities for families this year.
“Everyone is ready for some engaging activity this summer after being shut down there for a while so we’re happy and pleased with how it’s turning out,” said Tescher. “Everyone’s looking for ways to get outdoors and engage with their kids. These types of activities are so important for people’s health and help find creative ways to do something together as a family.”
Squares include taking a hike around Tenmile creek park, make a pinecone bird feeder, construct an at home obstacle course and complete a random act of kindness.
Once a bingo has been completed, families can drop off their card at the St. Peter’s Administration Building (2500 E. Broadway Street, Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm) or the Bases Camp (5 East Broadway Street ,Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 8:00pm) to be entered into a drawing for community prizes, like a new bike and helmet,or a year-long family pass to ExplorationWorks.
Individuals that complete every activity on their Bingo Card will receive an additional entry into the drawing.
People have until Monday, August 31 to drop off their cards.
