The historic World War II plane from Missoula has finally made it’s way back to Montana after a trip to the 75th anniversary ceremony of “D-Day” in Portsmouth, England.
The“Miss Montana to Normandy Project” posted these photos on their Facebook page today, announcing their return to Big Sky Country.
The crew touched down in Billings this evening, after filling the darkening skies over the French coastline, where thousands gathered to watch the D-Day spectacle earlier this month.
The group says they will stay the night in Billings, before returning to Missoula Monday.
