HELENA – Carroll College officials want the public to know that there will be an increased police presence at Carroll this week, but there is no need to be concerned.
Law enforcement from Montana and nearby states are in Helena this week for the Mountain States Tactical Officers Conference.
On Tuesday May 21 and Thursday May 23, law enforcement SWAT teams will be running training situations at Trinity Hall on Carroll’s campus from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Officers will be dressed in full gear and using non-live ammunition.
If a person is nearby the campus they may see or hear the SWAT teams, but there is no need to call 911 to report the training.
