BILLINGS – The class of 2019 graduated at Rocky Mountain College on Saturday afternoon.

Rocky’s Concert Choir Members performed in a packed Fortin Gym.

It’s the 137th annual commencement for the state’s oldest college.

The class included 205 graduates.

Rocky’s president Dr. Bob Wilmouth talked about resilience.

“In order to have resilience, you have to have anticipation,” Wilmouth said. “You have to have empathy. You have to think critically. You have to think ahead. You have to remember that it’s really the long game. And I think that’s very difficult. But I think our institution teaches that. That’s part of leadership training. I just want to tell them to start embracing the significance of this moment because we need them. The world needs them.”

A Rocky tradition is to have members of a class from 50 years ago come to the commencement.

Thom Forseth and Ron Tjaden are the Golden Graduates from the class of 1969.
