
BIG SKY, Mont. – Efforts to create a community center and parkland in Big Sky are underway, with more than $12 million raised and more than three acres of land acquired and secured in the heart of the town.
According to a press release, the Big Sky Community Organization has set a goal of raising the remaining $5.5 million needed by the end of summer 2019 with a groundbreaking planned for July.
The “ALL IN. BIG SKY” campaign aims to have the entire community be involved in the community center’s creation.
“As Big Sky continues to grow, the Big Sky Community Organization envisions a future Big Sky which will always feel like home – with community spaces, parklands, trail systems, and recreation opportunities available to anyone with a need and interest, to people of all ages, income brackets, and backgrounds,” said Ciara Wolfe, executive director of the Big Sky Community Organization. “We need a permanent community space that serves everyone, year-round…”
