GREAT FALLS – April is the “Month of the Military Child,” and Great Falls Public Schools (GFPS) is celebrating with “Purple Up Day.”
Students at Loy Elementary School had an appreciation breakfast with their military parents Thursday.
GFPS has over 1,106 students that are connected to the military; at Loy, 360 students have both parents serving in the military.
The designation is just one way to honor the commitment, contributions and sacrifices these military children make each and every day.
Both Smith’s Food and Drug and the Loy Parent Teacher Association donated food, and their time, so these families could enjoy a breakfast together.
