A Montana teenager was killed and two other people were injured in a rollover crash near Buffalo, Wyo.

The Wyoming Highway Patrol identified the victim as 13-year-old Tyra L. Parker of Box Elder, which is located south of Havre.

The patrol said a 7-year-old child was injured in the crash and is being treated at a hospital in Denver. The child’s name was not released.

The driver, identified as 62-year-old Box Elder resident Evelyn O. Parker, was also injured and was taken to a hospital in Buffalo.

The patrol said the crash happened Saturday at about 1:45 p.m. at milepost 294 on Interstate 25 south of Buffalo. A 2012 Chevrolet Equinox was traveling southbound on Interstate 25 when the driver failed to negotiate a slight curve to the left. The Chevrolet traveled off the right side of the roadway and overturned.

Tyra Parker was in the front passenger seat and was wearing a seatbelt. The other two occupants of the vehicle were also wearing their seatbelt.

Driver fatigue is being investigated as a contributing factor.
