MCHENRY, TEXAS- The southern border is a long way from Montana, but what happens there impacts the Treasure State.
In the MTN News- Montana State University poll conducted last fall, 65 percent of respondents, both Democrat and Republican, said illegal immigration is a serious problem.
Law enforcement has also repeatedly said that many of the drugs that end up in Montana came across the Mexican border.
MTN’s Russ Riesinger is traveling with U.S. Sen. Jon Tester of Montana to get a first-hand look at the border. In this first report of a series, he looks at efforts being made to secure the border.
