GREAT FALLS – Bridger Steel has closed its Great Falls location and is relocating its assets to Billings.

The metal manufacturing company, which was located at 17 Liberty Lane, closed its doors last week, according to a press release.

Bridger Steel stated they plan to introduce a number of manufacturing upgrades to their newly-expanded facility in Billings along with upgrades to the Belgrade facility.

The company said the relocation will improve performance and turn-around times to customers across the Hi-Line and beyond.

The press release states the goal is to carefully select markets that not only grow their service area, but allow for better support of their existing communities.

Bridger Steel’s announcement follows reports that Office Max and Shopko are also closing in Great Falls.

Office Max is scheduled to close its doors May 18 while Shopko is set to close by June.
