A former Indiana teacher has won the nationwide drawing for the HGTV Dream Home, which was built in Whitefish.
Beverly Fulkerson has been entering the contest for about 20 years but never expected to win, according to Discovery Inc., which administers the contest.
Her name was drawn from among 135 million entries for a prize package worth $2.3 million, the largest in the contest’s history.
The 3,650-square-foot home is at the edge of Glacier National Park with views of the Rocky Mountains and the Whitefish Valley.
Fulkerson and her husband will see the home for the first time in the coming weeks. HGTV will air a special on the viewing on May 24.
