BILLINGS- Billings business professionals gathered Wednesday to judge a leg of the “Amazing Shake” competition.

Fifth-grade competitors at Beartooth Elementary were challenged to maintain a conversation with each judge.

Students were judged on etiquette. This includes a greeting with a firm handshake, eye contact, and thoughtful, energetic conversation.

Their principal, and man behind the scenes, Travis Niemeyer reminded students to be themselves.

The competition started with 60 students, and through each stage, the pool of competitors shrinks. From here, 8 students will go on to First Interstate Bank.

There, they will be given a series of impromptu challenges, requiring them to think on their feet.

Eventually, two competitors will go head to head at a local business. The final winner will be announced at the Salute to Education luncheon.

Stay tuned to MTN for updates on who the finalists are, as MTN employees will personally get to judge the next part of the competition.
