Update: Structure reportedly explodes near Hauser Lake

UPDATE (9:15 p.m.):
Tri-Lakes Fire Department and East Valley Fire Department, the Lewis and Clark Sheriff, Montana Highway Patrol, and St. Peter’s Health ambulance services all responded.

It appears that a trailer home on the 4800 block of Deal Lane was engulfed and is a total loss.

No fatalities have occurred. The owner was checked out by St. Peter’s Health at the scene and was released.

The owner was inside the trailer when the explosion happened, he suffered bruising and will be taken care of by neighbors for the time being.

Crews are actively suppressing the fire, it does not appear to be threatening any other structures.

There were reported to be animals inside the trailer at the time the fire started. Their condition at this time is unknown.

HELENA – Around 8:00 p.m., Captain Alan Hughes said reports came in of neighbors saying a trailer has exploded.

The incident happened on Deal Lane, near Hauser Lake.

Tri-Lakes Fire Department was first on the scene, and they have the fire under control.

The trailer appears to be a total loss.

At least one person was inside, no comment was immediately available on his condition.
