HELENA – March is Problem Gambling Awareness Month.
The Montana Gambling Control Division partners with the Montana Council on Problem Gambling to make resources available to those who need it.
Last year, the council served 1,700 people.
“The nonprofit organization does offer no-cost counseling, so anybody who has a problem with gambling or has signs of problem gambling they do have resources available to counselors across the state. There’s 20 counselors across the state,” according to Montana Gambling Control Division Administrator Angela Nunn.
Here’s a look at some of the signs that you or a loved one may have a gambling problem:
- a preoccupation with gambling
- a need to gamble increasing amounts of money
- -attempts to make up losses through more gambling
