Senator Daines recognizes Heart Butte’s Pat Armstrong as Montanan of the Week

U.S. Senator Steve Daines has honored Patrick Armstrong Jr. of Heart Butte as the Montanan of the Week.

Daines wrote that he recognizes Armstrong for his dedication to Glacier County.

A member of the Blackfeet Nation, Armstrong was born and raised in Browning and he attended Browning Public Schools, according to a press release.

He has been an educator at Browning Elementary for five years, where he currently teaches 4th grade. Patrick and his wife, Anna, have three children.

“To be nominated for this award, you must exemplify upstanding character. Mr. Armstrong is a prominent mentor in his community. He is a humble man, who knows value of a strong community,” the press release states.

Armstrong has always been actively involved in the sports, and has been involved in officiating for 20 years. Since then, he has been heavily involved in high school basketball and was recently nominated as this year’s boys basketball official of the year.
