GREAT FALLS – Tails were wagging Sunday at North 40 Outfitters in Great Falls.

The Dedman Animal Shelter of Fort Benton was on hand with puppies, dogs, and kittens for adoption.

Along with finding new homes for their furry friends, the shelter asked for donations to help feed the animals still at the shelter.

Right now, the shelter has about 20 puppies that will be ready for adoption over the coming weeks.

Shelter staff said adopting the animals at an early age helps with the training process.

“We do the best we can with training, but we are minimally staffed and we’ve been having a lot of animals coming in so we trained them the best we can, but we don’t have always have a whole lot of time,” Stacia Fuzesy, Dedman Animal Shelter operations manager, said.

For more information on adopting or donating to the shelter, visit the Dedman Foundation’s website.
