KALISPELL – A Kalispell family is making a name for themselves, as everyone in their family will participate in the skijoring event at Rebecca Farm this weekend.

Alicia Dunsbach tells MTN after years of watching the sport, her family decided they wanted to participate too.

With only experience downhill skiing, Dunsbach said her family learned to use their own horses in their backyard. Towed behind with a rope, Dunsbach trains her kids, who are 15 and 11, on a flat course with no jumps.

In a world where teenagers are glued to smartphones and TV, Dunsbach tells us how much it means to her the entire family can participate in this fun sport.

“It’s amazing that something I enjoy, they enjoy as well. You know, there’s a big gap. But they seem to like it too so I’m just glad that we all enjoy it and we love to be outside and spend time together,” says Dunsbach.

If you’re interested in watching this family compete this weekend make sure to check out Rebecca Farm in Kalispell March 2 through March 3.
