BELGRADE – Volunteers helped local citizens fix their goods at the Belgrade Community Library on Saturday.

The event was sponsored by the Gallatin Solid Waste Management District and was free to the public. Anything could be brought in to get fixed, including jacket zippers, cardigans, buttons, and books. Beverly Larson said her purse was sewn back together by the volunteers.

“They are friendly, very helpful, willing to stop and help anybody anywhere,” said Larson. “The lady who fixed it did a very good job.”

This program was one of the many that have happened in the past. The Solid Waste District plans to have another event in Bozeman sometime during the year. They will post dates on their website once the time is chosen.
