GREAT FALLS – The Catholic schools in Great Falls recently announced they will consolidate under one system.
Central Catholic High School, Holy Spirit Catholic School, and Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School will soon be under the umbrella of the Holy Trinity Catholic Schools.
Director of Advancement Denise Czuprynski said the idea to combine the schools has been discussed for the last ten years.
“With changes in the diocese and with changes in the schools in the last couple of years, we formed a new board last July to oversee the name change and the system change,” Czuprynski said.
Each school will keep their individual names, but students and parents will notice other changes within the system.
The change will help make the academic experience become seamless for the students within the system.
“We will be able to work more closely school to school on academics, on instructional, and on students services. We are already doing that with athletics.” Czuprynski said.
They now have one athletic directer who oversees the sports at all three schools.
Czuprynski said they will now have one accounting system and one database for parents and students.
“There will be a lot of streamlining that occurs to make sure that it is running smooth and there will not be a lot of duplication of efforts,” Czuprynski said.
The change will take effect on July 1, 2019.
