LOLO – Fire crews were called out to battle a fire just west of Lolo on Wednesday morning.
The Missoula Rural Fire District responded to the scene of a structure fire in a single wide newer mobile home on West Acres Loop in Lolo off of US Highway 12 just around 10:45 a.m.
MRFD reports they were to quickly knock down the blaze and that two dogs and a cat were rescued by neighbors and fire crews.
No cause of the fire is yet determined, however, the fire appears to have possibly started on or near the outside of the residence.
The homeowners were away at the time the fire occurred. The American Red Cross is assisting the family as the home is said not to be insured.
No estimate has been made on the total amount of property saved or destroyed at the time.
