HELENA – Local law enforcement continue the work involved in moving into their new home in the former Blue Cross-Blue Shield building on Fuller Avenue in downtown Helena.

Helena police administration moved in to the new location last week.

This week, the investigations division and records department will move in. And next week, patrol and evidence will make the move.

Assistant Chief Steve Hagen says it’s a large undertaking to get the department into a new building and they appreciate the public’s understanding.

“This is new to us, new to the public,” says Hagen. “Understand there’s bumps and things we’re going to have to get figured out and we apologize in advance for any inconvenience because it’s definitely going to be inconvenient both for the public and us until we get all the little bugs figured out.”

Assistant Chief Hagen says anyone needing to come to the police station can still come to the Breckenridge location until late next week when the move is complete.

But if you have questions, call the non-emergency number for assistance.
