GREAT FALLS – The weekend of January 19th marked 34 years that the Antique Tractors and Toy show made an appearance at the Montana ExpoPark.

Collectors from all over the state and nation for that matter showed up to display their collections.

One booth, in particular, was a familiar face to many toy tractor collectors: Toy Farmer Magazine.

The magazine was started in 1978 by Claire and Cathy Scheibe in LaMoure, North Dakota.

It began as a four-page black and white newsletter with just 17 subscribers.

Through the years the magazine transitioned to full color and can now be found across the globe.

Following Claire’s death in 2000, Cathy and her family have continued to build the brand.

The family was also instrumental in starting the National Farm Toy Show in Dyersville, Iowa.
