BOZEMAN – A Three Forks couple rang in the New Year with the first baby born in Bozeman this new year.
Tara and Cory Koch are the proud parents of Lucas who is the first baby born at Deaconess Hospital in Bozeman about 11 a.m. on New Year’s Day.
His two older siblings, Hunter and Owen, also were there to meet their new baby brother. Mom was surprised Lucas was the first baby of the new year.
“It feels crazy, he wasn’t supposed to be here for another couple weeks, so it’s a shock,” she said.
Little Lucas came in at 6 and a half pounds and 19 inches.
And in case you were wondering, the first baby does get a little bag of swag.
