HELENA – Prosecutors say a search of a Canyon Ferry Road property turns up a car investigators believe was involved in a shooting and chase in Jefferson County last month.

Michelle George is charged with tampering with or fabricating physical evidence, a felony.

Police executed a search warrant at George’s property with the help of swat team on Saturday.

On November 13th a Jefferson County deputy attempted to stop a blue Chrysler 300 North of Boulder.  One of the passengers is accused of leaning out the window and firing at the deputy’s vehicle.

The suspects were eventually caught in Idaho, and when interviewed, court records say, one told investigators that the Chrysler was hidden in a shed.

An informant tipped police to the possible address on the 6500 block of Canyon Ferry Road earlier this month.

During a search of the property on Saturday, police found a blue Chrysler 300 that had been reported stolen out of Flathead county.

Justice of the Peace Swingley set George’s bond at $25,000.

The three suspects in the shooting:  Kolby Schmidt, Shannon Marengo and Michael Holloway remain jailed in Bingham County, Idaho.
