VIRGINIA CITY – An anonymous source claims a Madison County man admitted to killing and disposing the body of a woman on an Ennis ranch in July.

According to Madison County court records, Stanley Gordon Bernardini was arrested earlier this month after an informant told law enforcement that Bernardini told him he killed his girlfriend, Michelle Sorrows, in his apartment and buried her body on the Braxton/Jumping Horse Ranch property in Ennis in July. Court records show investigators found evidence of cleanup and blood spatter in Bernardini’s apartment. He is being held in Gallatin County on a charge of tampering with evidence. Bernardini’s denies any involvement in Sorrow’s disappearance. Her body has not been found.

Bernardini is also facing a marijuana possession charge.

This is a developing story and will be updated as more information becomes available.

Charging documents can be foundhere.
