WHITEFISH – If the cedar deck and sprawling deck with the “million-dollar” view of Whitefish Lake doesn’t convince you, the luxurious living room complete with moose and massive fireplace probably will.
We’re talking about HGTV’s 2019 “Dream Home”, which is nestled on the slopes of Big Mountain and was revealed on Wednesday. The home, valued at $2.3 million, is a stunning property, just a few miles from Whitefish Mountain Resort with a view that stretches for miles across the Northern Flathead Valley.
We were given our first peek inside the home, which will be given away in the next few months.
The home features floor to ceiling glass for the living room, dining room and kitchen, which completely opens up to the expansive deck overlooking Whitefish Lake, thousands of feet below.
The home was designed by Timber Forge Design and constructed by Malmquist Construction, with interior designer Brian Patrick Flynn using a variety of styles, from “western” to “modern”, paying tribute to Montana and the entire Pacific Northwest.
“This is our 23rd year for Dream Home. And every year we just try to think of dreamy, dreamy locations. You know, a place that everybody kind of imagines themselves with year ’round living and real luxurious, vacation destination if you will,” said Discovery Corporate Communications Director Kriston Alm.
“Breathtaking views like we have here on Big Mountain in Whitefish. That’s really the name of the game. So just the locale that you imagine in your wildest dreams.,” she continued.
“You can go online…and see every space in the home. It’s beautiful. And then on December 28, we’ll open up our sweepstakes,” Alm told MTN News. “You can visit twice a day to enter for a chance to win, twice a day every day until February 18th. And that’s when the sweepstakes will close and then we’ll select the winner after that in a random drawing of course.”
The winner will also receive a new Honda and a check for $250,000 in cash.
