HELENA – The Helena Police Department is warning people about fake $20 bills that are being passed around town.
In a Facebook post, they note that the bogus bills “really do look like real twenties, however, you’ll notice they are for ‘motion pictures’ only.”
The HPD says that retailers who receive any of these fake $20 bills should call the dispatch center to report it, and should not try to detain the individual. The non-emergency number is 406-447-8461.
