HELENA – On Saturday, November 10 at sunrise, Great Divide Ski Area will open up the mountain for the earliest ever opening date in the organizations history.

The ski hill will beat their previously earliest date by one day this year and staff say they’re looking forward to everyone showing up.

Only the Good Luck chairlift will be open on Saturday and Sunday with a 3,000 foot long and 300 foot wide run.

12 features will also be available in the Great Divide pocket park.

Communications Director Eric Gomes credits good weather and crews working around the clock running the snow gun as to why they’re able to make the historic opening.

“We received about 9 or 10 inches this week of fresh snow coupled with the piles of man made snow we’ve added to that,” said Gnomes, “We’re going to have a great strip of snow to ski on tomorrow.”

Lift tickets will be $30 for opening day or $10 for an hour.

If people stop by 10 Mile Brewery from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday Nov. 9 they can get a $20 all day lift ticket while they’re available.
