BILLINGS – The Yellowstone County Corner’s Office has released the name of the construction worker killed in Billings.

The man was identified as 52-year-old Jeffrey Dykeman.

Dykeman was killed Wednesday when a pickup truck slammed into a road construction project on Interstate 90 near the South Billings Boulevard interchange.

State and federal agencies will conduct separate investigations into a Wednesday crash that killed the construction worker, Jeffrey Dykeman in Billings.

Billings Police Lt. Brandon Wooley said Thursday that the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration and Montana Department of Transportation will conduct their own probes into the incident involving a flat-bed semi at the Interstate 90 off-ramp at South Billings Boulevard.

Wooley provided new details of the incident, saying the truck driven by a 28-year-old man left the traffic lanes, crossed into the construction zone and collided with three separate, unoccupied work vehicles, killing Dykeman.
