BOZEMAN – Alpacas of Montana hosted its 15th annual Open House over the weekend, with thousands of people from across the nation attending.
Anyone who partook in the event was able to feed, pet and interact with all of the alpacas on the property.
Owner James Budd says this year what was extra special about the open house was the addition to his alpaca family.
“It was a little bit nerve-wracking because it was done on the snow bank. So we call this guy Mr. Snowfer for right now because he was a snowfer baby born inside of the snow bank, and his temperature was very low and he’s doing great now. He is super healthy,” said Budd.
Budd said that on the Alpacas of Montana Facebook page there will be a contest to pick the permanent name of the new baby.
