Two people found dead at fishing access site near Craig identified

UPDATE 2:52 p.m.: The Cascade Co. Sheriff’s Office released the identities of the two people found dead at the Pelican Point Fishing Access over the weekend.

The two people are 66-year-old Randy Rodencal and 82-year-old Alta Rodencal. Both were from Lewistown, Montana.

According to a news release, Lt. Bob Rosipal says deaths appear to accidental as a result of carbon monoxide poisoning from a generator.

The investigation is ongoing while authorities await the results of toxicology test.


GREAT FALLS-Two people were found dead at the Pelican Point Fishing Access Site near Cascade on Sunday.

According to Cascade County Sheriff Bob Edwards, foul play is not suspected in their deaths.

Sheriff Edwards said the deaths are not river-related.

The investigation is ongoing and more details are expected to be released on Monday.

The names of those involved and the manner of their deaths have not been released.
