GREAT FALLS – As the end of Summer approaches and the weather begins to cool down, some people are already planning for holiday festivities – including the annual Christmas Stroll in downtown Great Falls.
Kellie Pierce, director of operations for the Downtown Great Falls Association, said this year marks the 35th annual Christmas Stroll. Each year there has been a unique button to commemorate the season. In the past, artists have submitted their works of art for a panel of judges to vote on the piece that would in turn become the button for the season.
This year, the Downtown Great Falls Association is inviting people to choose their favorite entry. There are 15 creative entries in two categories, and ultimately two buttons will be chosen this year because there were so many entries. There will be an adult category (six entries) and a children’s category (nine entries), and people can vote for one in each category.
Follow this link to cast your vote.
People can also cast their vote in person at three locations downtown: Candy Masterpiece, Kaufman’s Menswear, and Belles & Lace Bridal, all located along Central Avenue.
You can also vote via the free “Downtown Great Falls” app.
Voting will run through September 28th. Winners will be announced during the first week of October.
Don’t forget about these upcoming winter events:
Parade of Lights – Saturday, November 24th, 6:00 pm
Shop Small Saturday – November 24th, all day
Christmas Stroll – Friday, December 7th, 5:00-9:00 pm
