Investigators: Human remains found in North Dakota may be from Flathead Indian Reservation

The Dunn County Sheriff’s Office says that federal authorities are investigating the discovery of human remains found in Dunn County, N.D., in the northwestern part of the state.

The sheriff’s office said that the remains have been identified as belonging to an individual from the Flathead Indian Reservation.

Deputies were dispatched to a call on Monday, Sept. 3 regarding human remains being discovered in the northwest region of the county.

Officials say the case remains under investigation and has been forwarded to federal authorities.
