Details emerging in fatal Ravalli County crash

HAMILTON – We are learning more information about a fatal crash that closed down US Highway 93 South in Hamilton on Monday evening.

The Montana Highway Patrol reports that a 34-year-old Frenchtown man died in the wreck that happened shortly after 7 p.m.

Authorities say a driver veered onto the northbound of side of Highway 93 near mile marker 43 and was hit by a southbound vehicle.

The man who died was driving the southbound vehicle and his passenger was taken to the hospital, according to MHP.

Meanwhile, the 25-year-old driver of the vehicle that veered into traffic was taken to the hospital along with the two passengers in his vehicle.

The cause of the crash is unknown at this time and the Montana Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate.

(9.3.18 report) HAMILTON – At least one person is dead after a Monday evening multi-vehicle crash in Ravalli County.

The Montana Highway Patrol reports the crash happened at around 7 p.m. at U.S. Highway 93 South and Roaring Lion Road in Hamilton.

The Ravalli County Sheriff’s Office advised drivers on Monday evening that the crash was blocking the highway.

We don’t know many details about the crash at this point, but MHP has confirmed that at least one person died in the accident.
