THREE FORKS – More than 30 employees at the Imerys talc plant in Three Forks have been locked out after voting to reject a contract offer from the company’s owner.
The employees have now formed a picket line outside the mineral processing plant’s gate.
Members of the Three Forks community are also joining the picket line.
A company spokesman, Ryan Toohey, said in a prepared statement: “After repeated attempts to reach a fair and reasonable agreement, Imerys was deeply disappointed when the Boilermakers rejected our final offer.”
The locked out employees will try to re-enter the plant Friday morning.
This is a developing story and will be updated as more information becomes available.
