Flathead County crash victim identified

GREAT FALLS – The Flathead County Sheriff/Coroner’s Office has identified Gage M. Pluid as the man who died in a rollover crash on Monday, May 7th.

Pluid, 23 years old, was from from Eureka.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, the one-vehicle rollover crash happened at about 3:45 a.m. on US Highway 93 near mile marker 156, near the Flathead/Lincoln county line.

Pluid was ejected from the vehicle, which had gone off the road and rolled.

He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

There is no word yet on whether speed, alcohol/drugs, or weather were factors in the crash.

The crash is being investigated by the Montana Highway Patrol.

(MAY 7, 2018) A fatal crash has been reported in Flathead County.

According to the Montana Highway Patrol, the crash was reported at 3:39 a.m. on Monday.

It happened along Highway 93 near mile marker 159, about 25 miles northwest of Whitefish.

The name of the victim, number of people and vehicles involved, and level of injuries are unknown at this time.

The cause of the crash is still being investigated.
