HELENA – Three year-old Corban Loomis of Helena has been granted a wish by Make-A-Wish Montana.

Loomis, who was diagnosed with leukemia when he was one, received his own swing and slide set.

Mark’s Lumber donated time and the playset materials to help make Corban’s wish come true.

Corban’s playset will give him a chance to be outside, play, and enjoy being a kid without his parents worrying about germs.

Corban’s mother Katy Loomis said she cannot wait until the outside playset is ready so she can see her son having fun.

“He is immunocompromised, which makes it really hard to have him out in public and especially around other kids in general,” Katy Loomis said. “Corban said he just wanted his own slide and swing and it turned into a playground.”

Rod Austin, a board member for Make-A-Wish Montana, said families like Corban’s have a lot going on.

“This is a good way to take their mind off the doctor bills and the doctor visits and really do something as a family,” he said.
