Senator Jon Tester’s office has announced that 47,000 Western Montana veterans will have access to a new clinic coming to Missoula.

Sen. Tester, the ranking member of the Senate Veteran Affairs Committee, says the 52,000-square foot facility will provide more space for the VA to grow its primary, mental health and specialty care services.

Sen Tester said in a news release that it’s about time veterans get the quality care they deserve and noted he’s been pushing for this VA expansion for some time now.

The bipartisan VA Choice and Quality Employment Act of 2017 authorized the lease for the new outpatient clinic, which will be built on vacant land at the corner of West Broadway Street and Mary Jane Boulevard.
