MILES CITY- Former Miles City trainer James "Doc" Jensen pleaded guilty to two charge of possession of child pornography in state court in Miles City Tuesday, according to The Miles City Star.

Jensen, who appeared before Judge Michael Hayworth in a wheelchair, changed his plea as part of an agreement with prosecutors. They agreed to drop eight of the 10 charges against him, and he faces up to 10 years in prison, $10,000 in fines and possible restitution, according to The Star.

The Tuesday plea likely won't affect Jensen's immediate future. Last month, Jensen, 79, was sentenced to 12 years prison and three years supervised release on federal charges of coercion and enticement of minors into sex acts.

He'll serve that time first at the Federal Medical Center in Minnesota, which is reserved for prisoners with severe medical problems. Jensen suffers from diabetes and other ailments.

Jensen admitted in federal court to sexually abusing dozens of teenage boys over two decades as part of a training system he called "The Program." Jensen massaged their genitals and performed other sex acts on them under the guise of enhancing their athletic performance.

Investigators began looking into Jensen in the fall of 2018 after 33 victims filed a civil suit against Jensen and the Miles City Unified School District, claiming school officials failed to protect them from Jensen's abuse.

In December, based on a tip from a housekeeper at Jensen's residence at a retirement home, investigators discovered pictures of nude boys on Jensen's computer, which prompted the filing of state charges of possession of child pornography.

Jensen will appear in court in Miles City at 9 a.m. Aug. 28 for sentencing for the state charges.

The civil suit filed by victims is ongoing.
