Some families in need hoping to get new clothes for their kids for school or for winter from the Salvation Army will have to wait a little longer.
The final two days of the Great Falls Salvation Army's annual Back To School event have been rescheduled for September 8 and 9 because of staffing issues.
September 2 and 3 and were supposed to be the final two days. As of Wednesday, in the two weeks the event had been held, only about a dozen families had stopped by to get clothes.
"We don't know if it's a COVID thing, if kids who are doing remote learning maybe their parents don't think they need that extra, new clothing. It could possibly just be that the word hasn't gotten out very well,” said Salvation Army spokesperson Monica King.
Clothes can be picked up between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. on September 8 and 9 at the Family Service Center located at 527 9th Avenue South.
You will need to bring some form of ID for each child that shows the child's birthday.
