HELENA – You may hear the familiar jingle of an ice cream truck this summer in Helena.

It’s all thanks to D’Lish Ice Cream, owned and operated by 14-year-old John Settle and his older sister Samantha.

They’ll be making the rounds this summer with their van, which Samantha drives, since John doesn’t have his license yet.

The soon-to-be-freshman at Capital High School said the idea for the truck started when he was a little kid.

Now, the siblings are working together to make that dream a reality.

“I do some things, she does some things, and then we help each other out on others,” he said. “We go around to about 14 different locations, streets. We go to parks sometimes, and businesses like this.”

He’s referring to Westmont, where we found them today.

Their mom said they’re trying to establish regular routes. Check out their Facebook page to find out where they’ll be next.

John said he’s saving up his profits for his next business venture. He wants to be an entrepreneur when he grows up.

p.s. Both siblings recommend the M&M cookie ice cream sandwich.
