BILLINGS- The emergency room is always a stressful place, but one Billings police officer went above and beyond to make the visit of a young girl to the emergency room at Billings Clinic a little more manageable.

According to a Facebook post from Billings resident Brandy Serfazo, the young woman in question was visiting the emergency room at Billings Clinic with an escort from Billings police.

The Billings Police Department shared the story on its Facebook page.

She was both visibly and audibly upset during her time in the emergency room and even after sedation, remained in distress.

Despite her outbursts and repeated requests to contact her grandmother, she remained largely ignored by staff and other hospital patrons.

That was until one of the accompanying officers, now identified as Officer Tina Hoeger, stepped in to comfort the young woman.

Hoeger ordered the woman food, brought her water and stayed by her side for the rest of her visit.

Hoeger is a 15-year veteran of the Billings Police Department.

Often our officers do something amazing and never tell anyone. We learned about this through the grapevine. Please take…
