BOZEMAN – One local Bozeman woman donated 40 quilts to the Court Appointed Special Advocates for children on Thursday.
Doris Baker-Ryen sews every day and began this project two years ago. She herself made 29 of the quilts, one came from a sewing group she is a part of, six from a neighbor and four from her cousin. Baker-Ryen said it’s important for these children to have something special like this.
“I have to say that seeing them all on the fence, was just the most amazing experience,” said Baker-Ryen. “But the most amazing experience was giving them away.”
Baker-Ryen said she plans to continue to make quilts and donate them to the non-profit for children in the future.
