A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY is in effect for much of the state through Sunday.
A WINTER STORM WATCH is in effect for the Little Rocky Mountains, the West Glacier Region and the Butte-Blackfoot area.
After a fairly warm and pleasant start to the weekend on Saturday, the weather will really "snowball" on Sunday. A cold front will work south into the state from Canada bringing a blast of snow and colder temperatures. Sunday will be slippery as snow and ice accumulates for much of the state. After highs in the 40s and 50s on Saturday, Sunday's temperatures will hold steady in the 10s and 20s. Snow accumulation will be a few inches in the lower elevations, and up to 8" could fall in the mountains. The storm will clear for Veterans' Day on Monday, but it will be very cold and sunny. Another quick hitting storm will move through Tuesday night into Wednesday with another accumulation mainly up along the Hi-Line. Mild conditions will prevail through most of next week.
Have a great weekend!
