Asia Raye is a native New Yorker. Asia's interest in weather first sparked at a young age. She recalls her earliest memory of a broadcast meteorologist is watching Janice Huff and Kelly Foster. Asia graduated with her Bachelor's in Communications Radio & TV and a Minor in Geography. She landed a job at WJLA in Washington, D.C., where she latched onto the meteorologists at the station. Asia would stay late and come in on her days off to get a better understanding of the weather. One of Asia's famous quotes she likes to use is "The journey is the reward," and moving 3,000 miles away from home, the journey has, in fact, been the reward. When Asia is not forecasting or studying, she spends most of her time exploring Montana. She enjoys hiking, kayaking, and rollerblading.
